Job Description-
The Harness Technician is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining wire harnesses used in various electronic and mechanical systems. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, and the ability to perform precise hand assembly tasks.
• Assemble, install, and maintain electrical harness assemblies, including interpreting schematics and building compliant electrical assemblies. Conduct electrical tests such as continuity and insulation resistance.
• Follow procedures and directions from management, work from drawings or sketches, and collaborate with engineers to develop or proof new processes.
• Operate tools and equipment such as wire strippers, crimpers, solder iron, wire identification and cutting machines, heat guns, and associated tools.
• Perform tasks involving soldering, wire stripping, contact crimping, contact insertion and removal, harness routing, and strain relief.
• Apply structural bonding and coatings using various epoxy and silicone adhesive products.
• Utilize a working understanding of force, torque, and precision hand tools.
• Determine the optimum order of assembly for complex harnesses, mechanical structures, and devices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
•Experience: Previous 2-3 experience in wire harness assembly is preferred.
•Skills: Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering irons, and crimping tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
•Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
•Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
•Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 pounds.

Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Work EnvironmentThis role involves working with various tools and equipment in an environment focused on precise hand assembly tasks. Collaboration with engineers and following management's procedures and directions are essential.
