A bachelor's degree in forestry or a related field, or equivalent experiencePreferred: A degree coupled with 2 years of relevant experienceCommitment to and the ability to exemplify and promote a safe work environmentFundamental negotiation skillsProficiency in determining and applying conversion factors between alternate scales and weightsUnderstanding of quality specifications for raw materials across customer markets and how log characteristics impact delivered raw material and standing timber valuesAbility to leverage cost, volume, quality, and other supplier data for performance evaluationKnowledge of safety, environmental, labor, and transportation laws and regulations pertaining to harvesting operationsExcellent oral and written communication abilitiesStrong interpersonal skillsWillingness to thrive in a self-motivated, self-directed work environment where effective time management is crucialFamiliarity with total system concepts and demonstrated competence in collaborating across business and organizational boundariesProficiency in Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel, along with various other computer software and applicationsPossession of a valid driver’s license and adeptness in safely operating a vehicleAbility to safely navigate active harvesting sites, which typically involves maneuvering on uneven terrain and being in close proximity to heavy operational equipment

What We Offer

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $56,547 - $84,820 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement:Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation:We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3-weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours.
