**Requisition ID: 162206** **Position Summary** The Driver will load and unload materials and deliver to, from and within work sites as required. This position requires a commercial driver’s license (CDL). **Experience Level** Intermediate **Primary Responsibilities and Duties** + The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. + This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry. + The Off-Highway haul truck driver will perform various maintenance duties in the quarry, safely and efficiently operate the pit and yard loaders, perform daily pre-shift inspections, and perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck. + Operating a haul truck within the company guidelines and safety standards + Participating in safety inspections, plant safety program, and follows company and MSHA safety rules and regulations. + Aiding in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintains product pile as needed. + Performing pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisor. + Performing preventative maintenance, services mobile equipment, and is responsible for good housekeeping of equipment. + Operating other equipment such as pit and yard loaders in a safe manner as needed + Aiding in the training of co-workers as needed + Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor. **Qualifications** + Must have good communications skills using a two-way radio. + Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. + Must be able to remain seated in equipment for up to 12 hrs./day Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (wheelbarrow loaded and unloaded) + Must have good hand/eye coordination and vision to operate equipment safely. + Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions. + Must keep safety above all else WORKING CONDITIONS Works in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, ice, rain, and high humidity, and is required to work in all plant environments. **Requirements** • The person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl • Constantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions • Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required • May be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to access required equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb and maintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffolds • Move and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfaces • Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment • May be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial site • Must have required tools • Must have a valid Class A Driver's Licence. • Observe and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as required • Ability to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit for duty medical and background check _We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
