About this Role

R. R. Cassidy, a rapidly growing Quanta Services company based in Prairieville, Louisiana, is looking for a truck hauler. The candidate should have experience in hauling various types of equipment to support the growth strategies of a heavy construction company.

The ideal candidate must be experienced, self-motivated, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and willing to embrace the challenges of working with evolving tasks and structures. 

What You'll Do Job DescriptionKnowledge of the materials and equipment used in general construction workResponsible for housekeeping-related tasks for the equipment, facility, tools, and jobsitePlans delivery routes based on load weight, height, width, roadway construction, and secures equipment loads. This includes consideration of load height and clearance under standard interstate bridge heights.Ensures the correct bill of laden (BOL) or shipping documentation for each delivery loadResponsible for obtaining and carrying any necessary weight and/or oversized permits prior to tripsCompletes a pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspection of tractor, trailer, and securements, including confirmation that truck, trailer, and securement are safe to travel. This includes confirmation that weight is distributed accordingly for trailer size and number of axles.Utilizes ELD system in the truck for proper tracking.Ensures the truck and trailer are labeled, flagged, placarded, etc. for the load being hauled.Responsible for any job-specific needs (both internal and external of vehicle operating tasks)Complies with all DOT regulations and provides all necessary paperwork related to CDL statusWorks among the project teams and reports to foremenActively identifies and proactively addresses safety concerns and communicates to appropriate team membersComplies with all DOT regulations and reporting requirements related to CDL statusWhen not actively engaging in hauling-related tasks, supports the crew – including laborers and operators – with all tasks and labor, as neededQualificationsHigh school degree or equivalentActive Class A CDL license issued by the state of Louisiana or your residence stateValid DOT medical certificateMust be able to pass MVR company requirementsMust have acceptable FMCSA points2-3 years’ experience driving Class A vehiclesCurrent TWIC card or ability to receive one prior to orientationCPR and First Aid certification, PowerSafe Safety Training, and OSHA 10-Hour Construction training preferredStrong commitment to jobsite safetyTravel Commitment: Up to 100% Equal Opportunity Employer
