Hazardous Waste and Product Recovery Associate
**This is a 3rd shift position: Sunday - Thursday 10:00pm - 6:30am (Mandatory overtime as business needs)** **Starting hourly rate:** $20.00 **General Summary:** Perform general and preventive hazardous waste and product recovery duties that include collecting and transporting trash throughout the facility to the compactor sorting area; inspecting trash and removing potentially hazardous waste and recovered product prior to placing in the compactor; transporting and processing waste at the hazardous waste accumulation station; recovering sellable product (e.g., strays and general merchandise) throughout the facility; and cleaning up and processing hazardous spills. In addition, loading and unloading trailers; moving merchandise from area to area; and using conveyors and forklift equipment throughout the Distribution Center, as required. **Essential Job Functions:** • Collect waste and trash throughout the facility. • Sort and recover sellable product and potentially hazardous waste prior to trash being placed in the compactor. • Recover general merchandise, stray product and potentially hazardous waste on the shipping dock, merge, and all mods (1-4). • Perform offline recovery. • Record all damaged product in the system. • Process all hazardous waste at the accumulation station. • Maintain the accumulation station (e.g., proper labeling, adequate supplies, no grime or residue). • Assist housekeeping associates in the removal, disposal, and compacting of trash, as well as general cleaning. • Perform general warehouse duties, as required, including loading and unloading trailers and use of forklift type equipment. **Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:** High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous warehouse experience preferred. Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes, as required. **Physical Requirements:** These are physical and mental requirements of the position as it is typically performed.
