Safety-Kleen, a subsidiary of Clean Harbors is the leading provider of environmental, energy and industrial services throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. **Why work for Clean Harbors?** + Health and Safety is our #1 priority and we live it 3-6-5! + Benefits coverage after 30 days of full-time employment including 401K with Company match + **$23-$25 to begin** + Own part of the company with our Employee Stock Purchase Plan + Opportunities for growth and development for all the stages of your career + Company paid training and tuition reimbursement **Essential Functions/Responsibilities** • Make waste pickups at labs as needed. • Prepare computer-generated packing lists, labels, manifests, and land disposal restrictions notifications. • Identify unknown laboratory chemicals when they are encountered. • Perform inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance. • Inspect storage area for leaks or spills. • Inspect drums for compliance with labeling regulations. • Collect, segregate, and properly package waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance. • Sampling and profiling of new waste streams or any wastes needing analytical testing. • Prepare all necessary tracking paperwork. • Utilize CHOICE waste management software to efficiently and accurately manage waste program. • Assign proper waste codes to all materials that are designated for disposal. • Maintain and manage waste profile data. • Evaluate specialty waste materials such as gas cylinders and potentially explosive compounds and determine disposal options. **Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities/Competencies** • Attention to detail. • Able to perform multiple tasks. • Excellent interpersonal skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, Environmental Protection. • Agency (EPA) waste codes, manifesting and Land Disposal Restrictions (LDR) • Proficiency in Windows based applications. **Travel** 10% - 25% Clean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer.
