Hazmat Qualified Operator Project Overview: We are commencing a new project and are seeking a Hazmat qualified operator. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating extended reach forklifts and skid steers. This role demands dedication, commitment, and a strong emphasis on safety. Key Responsibilities: + Operate extended reach forklifts and skid steers in a safe and efficient manner. + Handle hazardous materials with strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations. + Perform daily equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure operational safety. + Coordinate with the project team to achieve project goals and timelines. + Conduct site assessments and participate in safety meetings. + Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). + Respond to emergencies and hazardous material spills following established procedures. Requirements Requirements: + Certification: Must have completed 40 hours of HAZWOPER training with an 8-hour refresher. + Experience: Prior experience operating extended reach forklifts and skid steers. + Skills: Strong understanding of safety protocols related to hazardous materials handling. + Attributes: Dedication, commitment, and a high regard for safety. + Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various environmental conditions. Preferred Qualifications: + Additional certifications related to hazardous material handling. + Previous experience in a similar role within a project-based environment. + Strong communication and teamwork skills.
