Essel Environmental provides On-Demand Emergency and Disaster Response Personnel throughout the United States.
The Field Hazmat Technician is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, general construction and other tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Utilize hand-tools and equipment, absorbent booms and pads to contain and remediate impacted surfaces, soils and waters.
+ Operate light and heavy equipment including: pumps, vacuum, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc.
+ Perform emergency response activities including: chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination.
+ Be able to meet a 12 hour night or day shift work schedule with dependability and consistency.
+ Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Able to work on-call projects as well as longer term projects
+ Experience with pump watch, setting up gabion walls and sediment removal required
+ Ability to perform labor intensive activities in any weather or environmental conditions
+ Reliable local transportation
+ Ability to perform duties while adhering to safety priorities while wearing PPE, such as respirators and protective clothing'
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00- 20.00 per hour
Schedule:
+ 10 hour shift
+ 12 hour shift
+ 8 hour shift
