HCM Senior Solution Engineer.

A large community of Solutions Engineers across EMEA engages the COE team in a diverse number of ways, ranging from answering tenders, customizing demos and building prototypes to directly supporting partners and/or customers with specific requests. Comprehensive training programs – technical and on SaaS applications - and the presales role will prepare you for supporting the field organizations across EMEA.

As a HCM solution engineer, you will play a critical role in providing functional expertise and support during the sales process, particularly in the configuration of demonstrations and responding to tenders (RFXs). You have the chance to develop in a very broad spectrum, ranging from business, product and technical expertise, customer interaction, communication and general IT market knowledge. Successful Solutions Engineers are highly talented individuals that develop and combine product expertise with business knowledge and have the possibility to develop a career in many different IT (and non-IT) functions. Also, they act as business partners within the Solution Engineering eco-system and are seen as trusted advisors by the Sales Community.


 

Business:

Strong understanding of the Human Resources business processes (Personnel Administration, Recruitment, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Compensation and Benefits, Training, Payroll);

Worked in a business role – preferably with exposure to HR Applications (PeopleSoft, Taleo, E-Business Suite, Fusion) but other HR software products are acceptable as well;

Ability to translate complex HR business requirements into functional solutions;

Ability to articulate value: translate HCM features into tangible business value tailored to different buyer personas;

Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts and how AI is used across HCM domains; ability to demonstrate & position AI-powered HCM features;

Strong understanding of end-to-end HR processes and how they translate into HCM systems;

Most important is an eagerness to learn! Oracle has an incredibly broad (and growing) portfolio of industry leading products. If you find it interesting and fun to pick up a new product and master it in a very short timeframe, this is the place to be! 

 

Non-Technical:

Excellent communication skills, able to articulate messages very clearly and in a diplomatic manner;

Openness to work with different languages and cultures;

Results orientation, you won’t be satisfied until the job is done with the right quality! 

Self-motivated, agile and willing to continually adapt to change. You have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges;

Ability to work in (virtual) teams. To get a specific job done often requires working together with many colleagues spread out in different countries;

Eagerness to learn – you enjoy the challenge of getting to master new products in a very short timeframe.


 

Foreign languages:

Fluency (including writing) in English

Fluency (including writing) in a second language is a plus
