JOB SUMMARY:
Ensure successful vendor onboarding and account maintenance within PaymentWorks and PeopleSoft systems. Job duties will also be split with the Cash Office assisting with bank deposits, journal entry preparation and patient payments.
*Bachelor's degree in related field, plus 2-3 years of experience required. Position is onsite (Galveston, Tx).
MAJOR DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS:
Responsibilities include all elements of vendor onboarding, as follows:
Sending PaymentWorks invites to existing and prospective UTMB vendors. Working with department initiators and vendors to ensure successful vendor onboarding and management of vendor details within PeopleSoft. Approving or rejecting vendor applications; and pushing back applications when additional details or changes in payment options are required; Connecting Vendors within PaymentWorks and ensuring all PaymentWorks application data aligns with vendor data within the PeopleSoft FMS system. Providing excellent customer support and issue resolution for vendors and department initiators throughout the onboarding process. Respond to queries received from the Supplier Management Inbox. Log cases with PaymentWorks when escalations or review are needed. Prepare reports and ad hoc analysis for management. Ensures compliance with all UTMB policies and procedures Performs other treasury department duties as required.Responsibilities include Cash Office duties as follows:
Collect all cash, checks and other forms of payment that need to be deposited. Verify the amount of cash and check deposited in the bank to ensure it matches EPIC. Create journal entries in general ledger to record financial transactions from clinic bank deposits. Provide customer service to patients and employees. Performs other treasury department duties as required. Ensures compliance with all UTMB policies and procedures Prepare reports and ad hoc analysis for management.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Microsoft suite (include Excel, Word, PowerPoint)REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (required) in related field plus 2-3 years of experience.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Standard office environment. Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

*This is a contract position through HealthCare Systems Staffing (the in-house staffing agency for UTMB). There are no benefits associated with this position.
Compensation Hiring Range: $30.50
