Job Summary The Financial Coordinator for HCT and Cellular Therapy is responsible for managing and coordinating financial issues relevant to transplant and cellular therapy including the monitoring of payer trends and contractual agreements and functioning as a liaison with other entities related to financial issues. Qualifications + Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business, finance, social services or nursing preferred. Transplant Financial Coordinator Certification preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical or hospital experience with financial counseling, customer service, accounting princples, third party billing, admitting or financial case management required. Additional Skills/Requirements required: Understanding of Medicare reimbursement and transplant financial reimbursement policies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written are required. The ability to develop, facilitate, and orchestrate effective communication with all members of the program; responsible for writing, preparing documents, and educating staff on procedures and processes. Individual must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff including clinical staff (investigators, nurses etc.), administration, research and clerical support staff, and institutional leaders (physicians, administrators).
