HDIS - MERCHANDISING PLANNING ANALYST
Position Purpose:

This position works with the merchant team to execute the merchandising strategy for Home Depot Installation Services business; The Merchandise Analyst will assist in driving sales, optimizing assortments, and generating profit; The role serves as the merchant's primary support for setting up and maintaining assortments through data management, responding to field associates and vendors, and providing analytical support to help the Merchant achieve their sales and profit plans; The role is also charged with working with cross-functional groups to gain insight on sales and market trends and issues that would have an impact on the business


Key Responsibilities:35% Analysis - Uses merchandising systems to analyze key merchandising metrics and provides recommendations for optimization.Works on various product tests within respective category, including assortment monitoring, promotional pricing, new services concepts, and analyzing results15% Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partners with cross-functional groups across the business to develop systems and processes to deliver accurate retail assortment and pricing 50% Executes Category Strategy - Manages all product information for assigned merchandising category; works with suppliers to onboard new products; owns the project management and execution of the strategic initiatives

Travel Requirements:Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Physical Requirements:Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Working Conditions:Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Minimum Qualifications:Must be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
