HDR Mechanics play a crucial role in our team, they are responsible for diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on large construction equipment and small vehicles. We need a well-trained, highly organized, and self-motivated individual who takes pride in their work. Your expertise minimizes downtime, enhances productivity, and contributes to the overall safety and efficiency of our projects. Duties include: + Repair fleet equipment, such as trucks, drills, trailers, backhoes, and other equipment. + Conduct required inspections and preventive maintenance to maximize safety, productivity, and equipment lifespan. + Test drive vehicles after repairs to ensure mechanical soundness. + File appropriate documentation on all repairs made. + Communicate with the Fleet Coordinator and Operations for updates on repairs. + Primarily work in a shop/yard setting, with site service calls as needed. + Ensure the use of personal safety equipment (e.g., safety glasses, face shields, gloves, hard hats). + Maintain a clean work area and secure tools and equipment at the end of each shift. + Perform other duties as assigned. **Key Qualifications:** + 5+ years HDR experience preferred. + Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct repairs. + Ability to operate diagnostic tools and automobile lifts. + Work scheduled overtime as needed. + Excellent communication skills. + Team-oriented and reliable. + The physical activity for this role includes: + Repetitious crouching, lifting, crawling as well as walking and standing for long periods. + Move about, in, and around construction vehicles and equipment. + Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and balance. + Pull, lift, and carry heavy objects. + Handle and use a variety of tools and small equipment (e.g., forklift, drill press, bandsaw, crane, welding torch). + Valid driver’s license required; Commercial license preferred. + Pass a standard background check and drug screening. + Must supply own tools.
