Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accountable for the implementation of an effective E&C program in the Oncology Business Unit (OBU) and ensuring the business is compliant to applicable laws, regulations, industry codes and internal policies

Leads the Digital E&C (DE&C) agenda for the BU to enable business innovation, product launches and business aspirations while partnering with the global DE&C team to strengthen the program and to bring the rights tools and frameworks to support the business unitBe a proactive business partner and leader – who understands OBU business and evolving internal and external environment – to ensure OBU navigates the “grey areas” of ethical decisions, to ensure potential risks are managed without compromising responsible innovation nor societal expectations, and thus enable business to maintain agility in delivering objectives.Responsible for providing strategic input into Global Ethics & Compliance program ensuring that OBU requirements are understood and reflected appropriatelyEffectively implementing the Global Ethics & Compliance program in the OBU aligned to the business of OBU and external requirements and drive continuous improvement in the programLeverage emerging technologies to strengthen and simplify the approach of OBU to ensure compliance and manage potential risks.Partner with OBU leadership, being a catalyst to reinforce ethical mindset and creation of a values-based culture within OBUDevelop OBU Ethics & Compliance team to have good understanding of OBU business and have capabilities to be a strong business partner implement and execute the ethics & compliance program in OBU and manage risks appropriately, with a solid understanding of the overall Takeda context and an enterprise mindsetAct as project sponsor for global E&C projects collaborating with colleagues across the organizationMember of Global Ethics & Compliance Leadership Team and member of OBU Leadership Team.

Extensive experience with regulatory environment and requirements to ensure compliant business practices, especially in the USSeasoned leader who understands Ethics & Compliance implications and risks to BU / BF and enterpriseTrusted thought partner to respective BU/F LTs and GECLT who connects the dotsMaintains close connection within Ethics & Compliance and across the organizationActs with agility to bring the right people to the table and facilitates difficult dialogues to unlock situationsBeing externally connected cognizant of industry activities & societal expectations and synthesizes those for the company. Active guardian of Takeda Values and Ambassador for Takeda’s ehtical decision-making framework of patient-trust-reputation-business, in that orderDevelops internal and external networks to shape the industryDesigned, translated or implemented Ethics & Compliance programsOther BU/F cross-functional rolesGlobal / Multicultural experience either multicounty or global roles (experience working outside home country desirable)Exposed to at least one major business crisis

U.S. Base Salary Range:

252,000.00 - 396,000.00

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others. U.S. based employees are also eligible to receive, per calendar year, up to 80 hours of sick time, and new hires are eligible to accrue up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
