Job Description:

The Head, US Talent Management leads a team of internal talent and learning advisors in support of the U.S. Bank.  This role partners with stakeholders to evaluate business challenges, identifies opportunities to influence/implement change initiatives, and builds ongoing support for talent solutions that meet the changing needs of the business. Works to accelerate the development of TD's Executive and Pipeline Talent. Works with the line of business, to diagnose business/performance issues and assess the needs. Leads the Talent Management Team to develop, launch, manage and assess learning/talent solutions.

Depth & Scope:

Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork and handling any/all disciplinary actions, as requiredDevelops, designs and deploys programs and practices to accelerate the development of TD's Executive and Pipeline TalentProactively identifies solutions to fill organizational talent gaps as identified in our annual talent plan processServes as an internal talent and learning consultant and advisor to HR and Business leaders Leads a team of talent & learning advisors to diagnose and prescribe learning and talent solutions Diagnoses and provides talent and learning solutions and identifies short term and long term gaps in performance/capabilityDesigns, develops and/or leverages existing talent and learning solutionsIdentifies business/performance problems, assesses needs and works with instructional designers to develop, launch, manage and assess learning/talent solutionsIdentifies opportunities to influence/implement change initiatives and build ongoing support for talent solutions that meet the changing needs of the businessInfluences enterprise talent and learning strategies and develops local talent and learning strategiesFacilitates talent routines in partnership with COE and HRBP teams (i.e. Talent Management, Succession Planning, Talent Brokering, etc.)Articulates business/talent outcomes and insights (i.e. talent activity, learning/engagement activity, learning impacts, etc.)Develops and maintains strong relationships with business and HR leaders, managers and colleagues (i.e. other business partners, COEs, etc.)Partners with HRBPs to understand team/individual performance concerns, recommends strategies to improve performance, and monitors for improvementPartners on the identification, assessment and development planning for select talentLeads enterprise-wide employer brand strategy, EVP Pillars and employee experience journey; ensures execution internally and alignment of enterprise-wide employer brand initiativesLeads development/implementation of employee engagement/listening approach encompassing Pulse, LOB employee engagement programs, onboarding, exit feedback, etc.Leads annual Year-End and Mid-Year performance management cycle and career development processes

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree required10+ years related experience, including at least 5 years of people management experienceExceptional influencing/coaching skills to accomplish objectives through others and to build individual, team and organizational effectiveness Understanding of the parameters of performance analysis (i.e. KPIs, SLAs, Capabilities, etc.)Strong interpersonal, counselling, and change management skills are requiredProven ability to think and work strategically, innovatively, and independentlyProven ability to work with and influence all levels of leadershipExtensive experience consulting executive leaders and strategic planningExcellent writing, analysis, conceptual and presentation skills as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
