About the Role:
As the Head of AES, you will:
•    Oversee the field-based Account Experience Specialist (AES) team, ensuring alignment with UCB’s patient services strategy and business goals.
•    Link strategy to execution by empowering the AES team to provide seamless FINTEPLA patient onboarding and REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) compliance.
•    Serve as the driving force behind operations, leadership, and financial oversight for the AES team, facilitating patient progression to active therapy in partnership with healthcare providers and external specialty pharmacy (SP) partners.

 

What You’ll Do:
•    Inspire and Develop: Recruit, coach, and retain high-performing leaders and their AES teams, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-achieving environment.
•    Lead with Vision: Set performance expectations, provide actionable feedback, and ensure team excellence through ongoing development and support.
•    Drive Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, Specialty Pharmacy, Training, etc.) to remove barriers and enhance field success.
•    Innovate Solutions: Develop and implement scalable business practices, leveraging insights and analytics to optimize team performance and patient support.
•    Champion Compliance: Ensure all activities align with legal, regulatory, and compliance standards, maintaining trust and integrity in every interaction.
•    Travel with Purpose: Lead efforts nationwide with travel up to 60%, ensuring a strong presence and direct support for your teams and stakeholders.

 

Who You’ll Work With:
•    You’ll partner closely with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Business Analytics & Insights, Legal, Compliance, and external specialty pharmacy teams, to ensure seamless patient experiences and impactful collaborations.
 

Interested? For this role, we’re looking for the following education, experience, and skills
Minimum Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS).
•    Minimum of 15 years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
•    Minimum of 10 years in sales/marketing, patient access, reimbursement, contract/payer strategy, or market access.

Preferred Qualifications:
•    3 years leading a regional or national field-based team.
•    Proven ability to influence without authority and collaborate across functions to drive strategic initiatives.
•    A successful track record of change management and fostering cross-functional partnerships.
•    Experience in rare/orphan drugs or CNS/neuroscience.
•    Specialty pharmacy/REMS expertise.

Salary range:
This position’s anticipated base salary range is 171,400 - 224,900 per year. The actual salary offered may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity, among other factors.
