About the role 

Civeo Australia are looking for experienced Head Chefs (Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or trade certificate) to work closely with the Village & Catering Managers to deliver exceptional food to our Villages across WA. The primary focus of the role is to ensure a smooth and profitable kitchen operation for the village. This is a fly-in-fly-out role (FIFO) departing from Perth on 8:6 rosters.

Experience: 

5+ years’ cumulative chef experience, preferably working in a large hotel or remote village environment (FIFO or DIDO) with at least 3+ years supervising and managing of a team of chefs 

Experience with ordering, storing, preparing and delivering food service 

Strong experience in a bulk/batch cooking environment. 

Ordering, profit and wastage reporting 

Client relationship management and support 

Skills and Knowledge: 

Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade certificate. 

Applied knowledge of HACCP principles in a bulk cooking environment 

Ability to create service schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis 

Applied knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance requirements 

Intermediate skills with regards to Microsoft Office applications 

Budgetary and analytical skills 

Knowledge of relevant kitchen chemicals, including their application and storage. 

You must have a valid drivers’ licence (Class C).
