Head Club Crew Coach

The Head Club Crew Coach is responsible for leading and developing the club rowing program, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. This role oversees coaching, club athlete development, program operations, and community engagement while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. 

This is a full time, benefits eligible, salaried position with a hiring range of $63,009 - $78,787 per year.

Core Responsibilities:

Mentor the Club’s membership as both competitive athletes and campus leaders, and the Club’s officers in organizational management and leadership.  Foster an environment that encourages skill progression, teamwork, and personal growth for rowers at all levels, from novice to experienced athletes. Develop and implement training plans, practice schedules, and race strategies to support athlete development and competitive success. Assist student club leaders with scheduling competitions and practices in accordance with College and league policies. Report to Athletic Department leadership and partner across the department to leverage best practices in coaching, safety, compliance and student support. Enforce safety protocols, maintain equipment standards, and ensure adherence to governing body regulations, including rowing association policies. Collaborate with the Office of Sports Medicine to ensure all medical clearance requirements are adhered to without exception. Manage equipment selection, procurement, maintenance and storage. Supervise assistant coaches, ensuring alignment with the club’s coaching philosophy and objectives. Coordinate budget planning, fundraising efforts with the Office of College Advancement, and securing necessary resources for team operations, including equipment and travel.
