This 10-month position, with an expected obligation of mid-August to mid-June, will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Volleyball program; practice planning, recruiting, and scheduling. This position will assist the Director of Athletics and Recreation with the long-term planning and development of the volleyball program and an additional administrative area will also be assigned. The department of Athletics & Recreation subscribes to the philosophy that athletics complements the total education experience of our students. We allow multiple ways for students to compete or participate in a variety of quality athletic programs consistent with the overall educational mission of SUNY Plattsburgh. Bachelor’s degree Collegiate volleyball coaching and/or playing experience at the NCAA or Club level Demonstrated understanding of NCAA Rules and Regulations A valid driver’s license at the time of appointment and the ability and willingness to drive fleet vehicles CPR/AED certification will be required within one month of appointment Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, organization and relationship building Willingness and ability to perform some evening and weekend work A demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff and administrators
