Responsibilities Oversee the entire golf day to day operations including, but not limited to: The Golf Shop, Golf Course, Tournaments, Golf Car Fleet Operations, and Practice FacilitiesHire, train, and supervise competent personnelEnforce all the facility’s rules and regulations governing the use of the golf course, golf cars, and other golf facilities.Be fiscally responsible for the entire golf operationMaintain a close relationship with the golf course superintendentSupervise the use of the reservation system and the POSCoordinate daily, weekly, monthly play with the hotelReview monthly financials with the Director of Golf and make adjustments as neededTrain, motivate, and supervise all golf department staff and maintain accurate payroll recordsAssist in physical retail inventoryAttend regular staff meetings Qualifications Must posses excellent interpersonal skills5 years experience as a golf professional preferredCollege Degree a plus, but not requiredMust posses strong computer skillsExperienced in tournament operationsExperienced in golf shop merchandisingMaintain PGA of America membership in good standing in an active classificationActively pursue PGA membership (if a PGA Apprentice) in a timely manner through the PGA Professional Golf Management (PGA PGM) programFundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facility operations and tournament operationsFundamental supervisory practices and principlesAct as a role model for all employees by demonstrating the behavior and work ethic expected of all employeesService and customer focused attitudeExperienced in written and oral business communicationsOmni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer - vets/disability.
