Job ID: 5001190 JOB SUMMARY: Promotes a fundamentally sound athletic program with emphasis on physical and skill development of the individual and to encourage a positive attitude toward fair play and sportsmanship. Advises and leads the Dance Team so they function as effectively as possible to instil school spirit at athletic events. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Personal Performance Criteria + Works well with others, maintaining positive and effective communication with school personnel and students + Contributes to creating a positive work environment + Demonstrates integrity and respects confidentiality + Arrives on time and works consistently until the end of his/her scheduled day + Takes advantage of professional growth opportunities related to his/her specific job + Works independently and with confidence + Demonstrates ability to grasp and adjust to new and changing situations + Demonstrates initiative and ability to work without close supervision Professional Performance Criteria + Responsible for the directing, supervising, and training of the team. + Responsible for the conduct of the team at practice sessions and at all contests. + Leads and directs the team in such a way as to encourage good sportsmanship by example and leadership. + Conducts themself before the students and community so as to instil respect and good sportsmanship. + Assumes responsibility for an energetic public relations program for the Dance Team and their activities. + Responsible for uniforms and supplies. + Sees that the team carry out all their duties as set by the advisor's rules. + Assists with spring clinic for tryouts. + Responsible for other duties relating to the team as may be directed by the Assistant Director of Athletics & Activities.
