Head Lifeguard

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

We're seeking a Head Lifeguard to join our team! As our new Head Lifeguard you will:

Supervise a Lifeguard staff of 20 – 25Work will include both lifeguarding and administrative responsibilitesSchedule lifeguard staffMaintain certification records of all LG staffHelp the Aquatics Manager with trainingServes as the manager on deck during events and/or swim meetsMaintain watch over the pool area ensuring a secure and safe environmentEmploy accident prevention by enforcing pool rules and regulationsRespond to all injuries, incidents, and emergencies as directed by club policyAssist in the maintenance and cleanliness of the aquatics centerOther duties as assigned

The Ideal Candidate would have:

Three years of Lifeguarding experience

One year of aquatics supervision

Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification (basic level)

Strongly Desired:

Five years of lifeguarding and/or aquatics supervision experience

American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Trainer

Current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain the certification at the time of hire

Physical Requirements:

Candidates applying for this position should be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted repeatedly throughout the workday

Frequent walking and demonstrating and assisting with exercise movements; bending, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting are movements performed daily
