Role Description:
As Head of Business Development, Brokerages for Homes.com, you will develop and lead Homes.com’s strategy for partnering with residential real estate brokerages. You will build and
lead a team of business development professionals tasked with building relationships with brokerage executives to drive awareness of Homes.com, gain access to agents through a variety of channels, and increase penetration of paying member agents within each brokerage. In your role, you will manage both internal and external relationships to develop and execute the brokerage strategy including product, marketing, sales effectiveness, industry relations & brokerage leaders.
Responsibilities:
· Develop go to market approach with Brokerages including target list, menu of offerings to brokerages, revenue models, and connection points to the Homes.com sales team.
· Attract, hire, develop, and motivate high impact sales/business development professionals capable of building c-suite relationships with brokerage leaders.
· Establish individual and team performance targets that align with overall business goals.
· Provide coaching and training as necessary to enhance the sales effectiveness of the team.
· Manage the identification, prioritization and winning of new brokerage relationships.
· Monitor team performance and hold team accountable to the required level of sales activity and brokerage relationships to ensure the achievement of business performance targets and standards.
· Provide performance updates to SVP of Homes.com Sales and other senior executives at the company including finance, product, and marketing.
· Ensure CoStar culture and Core Values are adopted by team members.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit college or university · Minimum of 8 years of sales and/or business development experience
· Minimum 2+ years leadership experience within an established residential real estate brokerage
· Experience leading sales and business development efforts in a fast-paced organization with a short cycle-time sales model
· Proven track record of commitment with previous employers
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
· Demonstrated ability to build long-term and sustainable relationships and business partnerships with customers at all levels.
· Demonstrated track record of leading sales/business development functions at a residential real estate brokerage
· Effective internal (leadership, peers, teams, company-wide) and external (sales channels, customers, etc.) relationship building skills.
· Demonstrated ability to retain proven sales producers and manage non-producers.
· Ability to travel, if necessary.
· Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations at a high growth company.
