Head of Client Engagement-Topco
Introduction SymphonyAI Retail/ CPG is now hiring a Head of Client Engagement to join our team! You will have full accountability for leading retailer and CPG engagement for a customer centric retailing program that spans multiple U.S. regional grocers. The successful candidate will quickly establish yourself as a trusted advisor for your retail clients, while motivating a team of Insight Coaches to sell Symphony AI solutions to CPG partners, while they drive retailer engagement. Critical for success in this role is the ability to build strong client relationships, being able to instill sales discipline and effectively coach a team, while having the ability to generate actionable insight that drives both strategic and financial value for your clients. You will champion the use of shopper insight and Symphony AI’s proprietary insight solutions as well as work collaboratively with other colleagues from across SymphonyAI to accomplish the objectives of the program Job Description What You’ll Do: Builds strong relationships with senior executives for your portfolio of retailers and provide thought leadership on the effective use of shopper data Provides leadership for a team of Insight Coaches who are responsible for (1) working with their assigned retailers to drive actionable insight, and (2) selling insight solutions to their assigned CPG partners Leads collaboration between partnering CPGs and your portfolio of retailers to drive business growth against current and emerging business issues Oversees delivery of identified analytical needs for your clients Identifies and pursues new opportunities to grow SymphonyAI' s customer centric retailing business within your current grocery retail client base. Develops, coaches, motivates, energizes and inspires team members to achieve their objectives Actively partners with the SymphonyAI product organization to improve solutions and collaborates with other client leaders on knowledge sharing What You Need: Deep knowledge of data driven decision-making and leveraging customer insights in a fast-moving consumer goods retail environment Strong client relationship management skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization Minimum 10 years FMCG experience working at the VP or Director level for a customer data or insight service provider Proven history of success in selling services to CPGs leading to over-achieving sales quotas and targets Demonstrated ability to lead a large, regionally dispersed team Experience working across Merchandising (Assortment, Pricing, Promotion, Placement and Loyalty), Category Management, and Shopper Insights Proven track record in driving activation of shopper insights that delivered measurable business results Understanding of the business strategies and tactics employed by both CPG and FMCG retailers Excellent consultative, communication and project management skills MS Office – proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint Bachelor’s degree required with concentration in Marketing or Business.
