Overview of the Department/Section:
The Infrastructure department has overall responsibility for the platforms supporting business applications hosted within Europe, Middle East and Africa. Focussed teams within this portfolio manage the day to day health, support and future direction of each specialist area. Specialising in all aspects of this technology, Networks, Firewalls, voice, Active Directory Services, Server, Backup, SQL, Oracle and Linux; the documentation and governance of platform standards; through to the planning of technical direction and strategy.
Main Purpose of the Role :
The Head of Microsoft 365 Collaboration is responsible for overseeing technical delivery on large, high profile and complex Infrastructure initiatives & projects related to Microsoft 365 Services. The role manages the delivery and execution of technical solutions utilising the existing on-prem infrastructure together with delivering and maintaining the collaboration platform for EMEA Bank and Securities. You will work in close collaboration with global IT departments and business areas to ensure the service meets the required SLA and system parameters Deliverables include, but are not limited to:
Lead and manage a team of M365 specialists/administrators and consultants.Collaborate with external vendors, manage relationships and oversee contracts related to the serviceTechnical delivery of Infrastructure initiatives, to include engineer and support of work streams and projects within agreed scope, cost and timescaleCreate strategy, roadmaps, standards, security policies and best practices of the organisationEnsure Audit and security findings for on-prem infrastructure and cloud infra are remediatedWorking with Microsoft Support & other 3rd party vendors engineers to provide resolution to product lifecycle issuesStay abreast of emerging technologies and trends, evaluate their applicability to the organisation and aligned to business objectives.In this role, you will be responsible for support and delivery of the Global M365 platform, message routing, MS Teams technical delivery across MUFG’s banking arm and Securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. Under this arrangement, you will act on behalf of both the Bank and the Securities business, subject to the same remit and level of authority, and irrespective of the entity which employs you. Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:To provide specialized technical guidance, support and implementation of Collaboration ServicesDevelop and enforce governance policies, security best practices, and compliance standards within the M365 Environment.Interpret Messaging relevant regulatory, requirements and security, design and technical best practices and ensure that the systems are compliantProvide BAU support for all collaboration servicesProvide Ediscovery for Collaboration services to include daily checks of data feedsResponsible for the delivery of operation readiness for services deployed into Collaboration services, to include Service desk handover document, DR documents and incident and task resolutionProvide effective investigation and technical resolutions for any issues that may occur as part of initiatives, work steams and project lifecycleInvestigate potential and actual service problems that arise from implementation and recommend solutions. Follows formal procedures to plan and test proposed solutionsWork closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective utilisation of M365 applications and services to enhance productivity, collaboration and security.Evaluate and prioritise new M365 features and recommend their adoption-based business needs and industry best practisesSkills and Experience

Comprehensive background in M365, MS Exchange, Enterprise vault, Intune, MS Teams, message routing and mail gateway technologies in large financial institutions.
Proven track record of supporting M365 into multiple organisations as a 3rd line engineer.Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team, towards achieving goals and objectivesStrong Infrastructure support and delivery background with evidence of successful technical delivery across multiple workstreams within the Infrastructure collaboration spaceExcellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to Collaboration ServicesDemonstrable experience of senior stakeholder management and relevant management reportingAbility to provide technical knowledge transfer and constructive feedback to address issues ranging from maintenance, BAU support and service desk issuesExperience in working in a high-pressure environment to deliver first class servicesFamiliar with the specific standards associated with an IT practitioner’s current role: e.g. Health and safety standards; change management; incident management and problem management standards; and common service focused frameworks such as ITIL.We are open to considering flexible working requests in line with organisational requirements.
