As Head of Commercial, Viral Vector you will lead the VV CDMO Sales team and will be accountable for executing the go-to-market strategy, positioning and sales tactics for VV offering. You will be working with a highly motivated and customer centric team, both in sales and operations. You will be responsible for all negotiation context and closing complex business deals with client executives and meet or exceed the yearly orders and revenues targets.

Who You Are:
People Responsibility
• Drive the execution of a high-performing group of a Business Development Sales team to build a healthy portfolio of VV customer programs that enable the short-and long-term business objectives
• Responsible to continually and consistently increase our VV market share and sales by identifying new VV business opportunities, as well as maintaining and growing existing client accounts
• Identify and address performance issues within the VV sales organization; set a high standard across the team and employees
Strategic Impact
• Build a revenue backlog that enables the VV business to deliver against the Operating Plan
• Provide industry insights and subject matter expertise to contribute to the strategy definition of the CDMO services, OP planning, and associated Go to Market
• Drive a high standard and level of performance from opportunity generation / project qualification to contract signature
Cooperation
• Collaborate closely with the VV modality leads, global business function and operational functions, technical & operations stakeholders
• Work with Operations and Finance to drive profitability metrics
• Partner with global commercial functions (Commercial excellence, Marcom) to execute on key commercial priorities and fully leverage existing commercial tools and processes
• Establishes and maintains influential relationships at all levels at client, but particularly at senior VP / CEO levels of targeted VV accounts
• Build collaborations with clients for long term and top-level relationships in order to help fulfill their strategic manufacturing objectives
• Establish and cultivate network of influencers e.g., (CMC) consultants or VC firms
Minimum Qualifications:
An exceptional commercial leader to help shape and drive the viral vector businessExperience in viral vector development, manufacturing & analytics from either a CDMO or Biopharma companySupporting an ambitious, customer focussed commercial team to Working with other modality leaders in the business to work holistically to provide customer needs

Execute go-to-market strategy. Build a healthy pipeline of opportunities, tracked rigorously in Salesforce.com Meet and exceed the yearly orders and revenues targets Negotiate and closing complex business deals Set up appropriate workflows across internal and external stakeholder groups to ensure efficient and effective VV Sales Team delivery Provide reports about projects, prospects, forecasts, and orders won / lost analysis, to the Management Analyze market competition and trends and maintain a strong understanding of industry dynamics. Provide input to all internal stakeholders for new service development / outline gaps in our offering Drive introduction of new offerings (services, templates, selected products) to the clients, consultants, opinion leaders and account managers Manage budget of Commercial function against lead performance targets
