Job Description SummaryThe Head of Communications for GE HealthCare, Japan is a key member of the business leadership team. The purpose of the role is to enhance and protect GE HealthCare’s brand & reputation as a leading healthcare innovator & technology business; develop & support the employee brand; shape & structure messages (internally & externally); and optimize & execute speaking engagements.Job Description
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Collaborate with the GE HealthCare Japan leadership team to define and execute communication strategies that align with key business priorities, driving impactful results both internally and externally.Develop and implement comprehensive multi-channel communication plans to enhance GE HealthCare’s brand development and positioning across diverse stakeholder groups, including customers, business leaders, media, industry groups, and government entities.Ensure the positive representation and protection of GE HealthCare’s image and reputation across all communication channels.Proactively lead an earned media strategy, focusing on tier 1 media to maximize coverage and influence.Create and execute thought leadership strategies for key executives, including social media presence and speaking engagements, to establish them as industry leaders.Partner with HR to drive employee engagement and affinity by clearly communicating the organization’s strategy, priorities, and progress, fostering a cohesive and motivated workforce.Serve as the primary point of contact for crisis communications related to specific business issues, including cross-GE HealthCare matters, ensuring timely and effective responses.Engage with internal and external stakeholders to continuously refine and enhance communication plans, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Utilize data to inform and improve communication strategies and tactics, regularly reporting on progress and outcomes to drive continuous improvement.Desired Characteristics
