Head of Communications, Taiwan
**About the Role** The communications team is responsible for telling the story of how Uber is changing the way people, food, and things move around cities. Working with the media, our own social channels and third parties, we help drive awareness and love for Uber’s brand, products and services, and manage its reputation. The head of communications, Taiwan, will report directly to the director of communications, APAC, and work closely with the Taiwan leadership across our Mobility and Delivery businesses. **The Impact You'll Have** 1. Develop and lead a comms strategy that supports the business goals of Uber in Taiwan 2. Handle reactive media enquires 3. Lead a small team of communication professionals, maintaining a supportive and collaborative atmosphere that enables everyone to do their best work 4. Be a trusted and thoughtful member of the Taiwan leadership team, advising on all aspects of our external communications. **The Experience You'll Bring** 1. 10 years experience handling communications for a large company in Taiwan, including time spent managing a team. 2. Strong media relations experience and a good network of tech, business and consumer journalists in Taiwan 3. A team player: Success at Uber depends on the ability to work with different teams around shared goals. 4. Communicate clearly in English and Mandarin , written and spoken 5. Experience running marketing, social media and/or marketing for a large Taiwanese company 6. Experience in a large consumer-facing tech company, and/or a multinational tech company 7. Ability to work well with senior internal stakeholders from across the world 8.
