Head of Credit Management

Description We are searching for a Head of Credit Management to join our team in the agriculture industry based in Omaha, Nebraska. The role is pivotal in managing the company's credit policy, collections, settlements, and ensuring timely release of approved orders. You will work closely with local and global teams to unify credit management strategies, and contribute to the enhancement of global operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
• Implement strategic planning, including competitive benchmarking of terms and risk management
• Oversee transactional processing and collections, including customer correspondence, dealer inventory audits, subordination agreements, and new dealer set-ups
• Conduct functional/forecasting and analysis of unsettled retails, wholesale financing including a thorough review and analysis of terms for consistency to defined programs
• Maintain and review customer master data and credit files
• Regularly review AR aging reports and dealer statements (Electronic)
• Collaborate with Sales/Logistics and Production departments to ensure timely release of machine orders
• Oversee growth and streamlining of credit functions both internally and externally
• Complete quarterly Volume Bonus Calculation and communicate to dealers
• Perform AR month-end and year-end closing duties, watch list reporting, and ABS planning
• Record, review, and advise on quarterly dealer inventory audits
• Ensure seamless global alignment between credit management practices and strategic initiatives by driving collaborative innovation to streamline credit processes. Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Credit Management or a related field.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and CRM.
• Solid understanding and experience with Accounting Functions.
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Billing Functions.
• Ability to maintain and monitor Cash Activity and Cash Applications.
• Demonstrated ability to Approve Credit in a corporate setting.
• Proven skills in Credit Analysis and Credit Approvals.
• Familiarity with Credit Policies & Procedures and Credit Policy.
• Experience in Credit Risk Management.
• Understanding of Credit Terms and ability to assess Credit Worthiness.
• Experience with Accounts Receivables Systems.
• Ability to manage Aging Accounts.
• Experience with Benchmarking and Competitive Benchmarking.
• Ability to conduct Inventory Audits.
• Experience in managing Credit Lines.
