Job Description

This role is responsible for growing and servicing all retail solutions for OMMM. The retail solutions include funds and DFM services. The incumbent is accountable for achieving the results and the management of others. The role also serves as a key Exco member of the business and works closely with the Investment, Operations and Product teams in OMMM.

The role includes the following responsibilities:

Create and execute a growth strategy for the DFM capability, utilising in-house as well as partnership driven customised solutions.Manage the business development and client service teams that support OMMM retail proposition.Agree with OMMM MD on sales and other targets and then track delivery according to business plan.Grow the presence of OMMM in the retail market through visibility via online and other channels, as well as thought leadership and articlesMonitor competitive landscape and pro-actively adjust operating model to compete effectively with market leaders in Multi-management and DFM solutionsDrive future design and range of retail solutions through participation in the Product Development CommitteeDrive relationships with key internal partners, and drive strategy for increased penetration of IFA market externally

Qualifications, skills and experience required:

BCom/Business scienceMBA/CFA would be an advantageProven experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior internal stakeholders and financial advisors/financial advice practice ownersTertiary education, investment focus advantageous.Minimum 5 years’ experience within the investment industry compulsory.Offshore Investment Knowledge advantageous.Intermediate in MS Suite (Excel, MS Word and Outlook).Good communication skills and can present ideas clearly (both written and verbal).A professional approach.Meets deadlines and ability to work under pressure.A team player with strong collaboration skills.Proactive, confident and show initiative.A driven character with a sales / business development mindsetExcellent problem-solving and strategic skills.
