About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic, data and tech-driven leader to transform our Editorial Operations team in Paris, France. In this role, you will provide leadership, strategic direction, and data-driven guidance to a team of people leaders responsible for the production of cutting-edge content for the legal and professional market.
This role reports to the Head of CEMEA (Continental Europe, Middle East, Africa) Editorial Operations (CEMEA Head). Together, you will leverage the expertise of global content leads to align regional goals with global strategies and advance the operational excellence of a leading editorial team. As a global leader, you’ll play an integral role in driving employee engagement and enabling high team performance.
Main responsibilities:
Stakeholder management: Collaborate with the CEMEA Head and French commercial leaders to understand and implement a global strategy.
Budget and expense management: Work with local and global finance partners to manage budgets and expenses.
Team leadership: Transform and lead a high-performing team of people managers in France Editorial Operations to boost productivity and foster innovation.
Global collaboration: With support from the CEMEA Head, align product strategies, tools and systems with the Global Editorial Strategy by leveraging key partnerships with global content operations leaders.
Metrics: Editorial Operations is a data driven business. You must ensure content adheres to prescribed quality, timeliness, and completeness targets. Develop, iterate, and report on relevant operational metrics tied to strategic goals. Set and track productivity goals and implement best practices within the region.
Change management: Inspire change through transparency, and collaboration. You will drive the change management required to transition the team into a production environment where people, technology, and Generative AI is at the core.
Continuous process improvements: Foster a culture of continued process reviews by evaluating existing processes, drawing comparisons to other regions, recommending improvements, and documenting best practices.
Resource allocation: Participate in planning and resource allocation strategies by providing insights.
Skills:
Proficiency in French and English is a must.
Strong data, finance, and business acumen.
Sound understanding and demonstrable experience implementing technology-enabled solutions including Generative AI.
Significant experience with outsourcing processes, from both an operational and procurement perspective.
Qualifications:
Education: BA/BS + JD, MBA, other advanced degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience:
Leading large teams through organizational transformation.
Leading client-centric, data-driven operations.
Supporting and interacting with diverse and high-level executives.
