Your role: As a key member of the Global Value Demonstration, Market Access and Pricing (GVAP) Operations and Regional Leadership Team, the Head of GVAP Operations APAC is accountable to create access and generate revenue in the region through the implementation of market access and pricing strategies in priority markets.
Your key accountabilities are:
Lead the development and implementation of the regional MAP and evidence strategy for APAC by bridging the global access strategy and local execution, ensuring the appropriate level of country preparedness, and planning to meet company objectives
Support affiliates in securing reimbursement for products through high quality preparation of submissions, effective understanding of local processes and networking with key stakeholdersPartner with key countries to bolster strategic analysis, ensure execution of global strategy, optimize price, and launch with excellence Work with local MAP and cross functional teams to assist in the development of operating plans in alignment with global strategy; determine contributions from access and pricing into the quarterly forecasting process and translate the respective inputs into insights at the global, regional, and franchise levelIdentify and communicate regional and local risks and opportunities to the quarterly forecasting process; work with key markets to create opportunistic and mitigation plansDrive innovative commercial models, evidence strategies and portfolio measuresPerform gap assessments for local capacity and capabilities based on business opportunities, engage with regional stakeholders and GMs for resource allocations and develop with business partners appropriate trainings to strengthen the capability level in the regionAlong with government and public affairs colleagues (GPA), co-develop the health policy strategy and associated tactics for the APAC region to accelerate broad portfolio access to patients
Lead an APAC Health Strategy Steering Committee involving APAC MAP and GPA leaders to design regional health strategyDevelop strong and enduring networks with Health and Access key stakeholders (Trade Associations, Payers, Policy Makers, etc.) to get insights, pulse the health environment and drive actions consistent with the APAC health strategy to advance our work in the regionProvide country-level input to the strategic development (SD) forecast for APAC, inclusive of market access, pricing, and policy-related events and drive the regional input in early pipeline development and business development opportunities
Collaborate with GVAP Franchise teams to ensure the development of aligned resources for priority countries according to their needs
Give direct access strategy execution and payer negotiation support to priority markets
Execute country-level pricing operations to ensure compliant and timely price approvals, consistent with pricing policies
Collaborate with local MAP on price-related business case development, ensuring appropriate stakeholder involvement and a consistent standard of excellenceAssess and endorse local pricing strategies in line with local business opportunities and global pricing policiesCommunicate changes and follow up on price assumptions across the regionProvide to countries best practices and insights about regional and global trends concerning access; make recommendations for short- and long-term success
Lead a team of regional market access experts to effectively engage, support, and optimize outcomes for priority markets
Foster a team culture consistent with the GVAP purpose and valuesEffectively coach, counsel, and mentor with an ability to identify opportunities for both individuals and teams to improve overall effectiveness, engagement, and quality of workBuild and nurture a diverse team Import & export talent and create future leadersServe as the single point of contact to the Regional Vice President of the APAC region for all access and pricing matters; offer thought partnership for and provide MAP perspective for markets

Who you are
Min. 10 years of relevant experience working in Market Access and Pricing. Experience in both local and regional/global roles is highly preferred.Ability to lead a team and interact with senior leadership. Previous working experience in cross-functional and international teamsBachelor’s degree required, advanced degree (preferred) in a scientific discipline and/or in business with significant previous experience in the health care industryHighly developed written and verbal communications skills in EnglishAbility to cultivate, lead, and engage a diverse team to deliver on objectives while striving for growth and advancement, both individually and of the MAP function globally Strong business acumen with deep payer insights and grasp of complex analytics required including market planning and business intelligence with a deep understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamicsKnowledge and application of business planning and leadership principles, such as data analysis, goal setting, financial and action plans, monitoring tools, directive and supportive techniques to develop and implement action plansStrategic mindset to shape, secure and maintain product access at optimal pricesExpertise in pharmaceutical and access-related stakeholders
