As part of our ongoing commitment to learning and development, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of M&S Learning Institute. This pivotal role will be responsible for leading a team learning professionals, developing and implementing learning strategies that support our business objectives, and promoting a culture of learning.

Main responsibilities:

The Head of the M&S Learning Institute is responsible for serving as a trusted business advisor to M&S business leaders and stakeholders. This is a crucial role driving the organization to accelerate M&S modernization at scale through learning and upskilling the M&S workforce. The role will be responsible for building a team, organizing the existing structure to align Learning Institute scope with the needs of the business. This role will sit on the M&S People and Culture Leadership Team.

Continuously maintains an understanding of key M&S priorities and processes, partners with key M&S stakeholders to identify performance needs and gaps.

The role reports to the Chief Learning Officer (leadership team member of the Talent Management organization).

The key activities of the Head of M&S Learning Institute will include:

Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy that aligns with our overall business goals and strategic priorities.Lead, mentor, and support a team learning and development professionals, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and innovation.Engage with senior stakeholders across the organization to identify learning needs, and develop programs that enhance capabilities, productivity, and employee satisfaction within our M&S functions.Evaluate the effectiveness of learning interventions, utilizing data and feedback to continuously improve our learning offerings and impact on business performance.Stay abreast of the latest trends and innovations in learning and development, manufacturing, and supply chain management to ensure our programs remain cutting-edge and effective.Manage program budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful program delivery.Oversee program development process and activities with the support of Learning Program Manager and Learning Design & Development Hub, ensuring quality & learner experience

About you

Experience: Proven leadership experience with at least 10 years in learning and development or operational experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain sectors of the pharmaceutical industry.Skills: Business Acumen: Ability to engage with business leaders around business strategy, goals, and business outcomes, and make sound business decisionsLeadership and influencing: Demonstrated skill in applying approaches, tools, and techniques to gain the cooperation and support of others; ability to lead by example and foster collaborative relationships. Advanced ability to partner, collaborate, and impact decisions at all levels within and outside the organizationInterpersonal Relationships: Demonstrated skill in applying approaches, tools, and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner, including the ability to build and maintain critical networks and collaborative relationshipsOral and Written Communications, Creative Thinking: Advanced ability to express oneself to provide information to others effectively and in a succinct manner; outstanding verbal, written, and executive level presentation abilities and interpersonal skills; ability to ask thoughtful questions to gain insights, listen, and understand other perspectives. Demonstrated skill in applying tools and techniques for grasping new concepts, acquiring new ways of seeing things, and revising ways of thinking and patterns of behaviourCoaching: Ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals and teams in learning and improving effectivenessDecision Making and Critical Thinking: Advanced ability to use a broad range of methods, assumptions, frameworks, and perspectives when solving problems and making decisionsPlanning- Tactical, Strategic: Advanced project planning and management experience, including the ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1–2 years), and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the business plan

Languages: Given the global nature of this role, we require full business fluency in English.
