We are looking for a Head of Market Access Strategic Planning, Analytics & Insights who has a thorough understanding of US Healthcare dynamics, specifically payers (enterprise accounts), PBMs/GPOs, Specialty Pharmacy practices, distribution, reimbursement processes, and the evolving healthcare landscape to join our Market Access team. This hybrid position can be based out of our corporate office in Atlanta , GA or in one of our hub offices in Raleigh, NC or Boston, MA
The Head of Market Access Strategic Planning, Analytics & Insights will lead strategic access programs, analytics, projects, and partnerships. You will build and guide a team of professionals in Market Access Strategy, Insights, Analytics, and Operations to provide market insights, knowledge, data, and support for strategic decision-making across the organization. The team will also support Market Access Teams by facilitating collaboration, gathering data and insights, and managing operations to enhance strategic decisions across a complex portfolio, ensuring business objectives are met and driving business performance.
Who you’ll work with
In support of the Head of Market Access, this role will strategically enhance efficiency and productivity within Market Access, external stakeholders, and strategic partners. You will work closely with US and Global partners, including PVU/P/Operations, Marketing, Payer Strategy, Account Management, HEOR, Trade, Reimbursement, I2I, Patient Services, Government Affairs & Communications, Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Field Sales Management, and Training.
What you’ll do Lead the generation of insights impacting patient access to UCB brands and pipeline therapies.Utilize syndicated reports, field insights, congress information, and partnerships with other insights teams.Manage supplier engagement for Market Access Insights data purchases, including evaluating new pilot opportunities, contract negotiations, budget management, and designing annual insights plans.Serve as the primary lead for organization-wide initiatives requiring Market Access engagement.Develop and present workshops on the US Healthcare Landscape and Insights Strategy. Contribute to strategic projects and programs, such as the Inflation Reduction Act Working Group and DE&I.Assess and shape digital solutions or innovations targeting access and affordability outcomes.Evaluate data sources for Market Access data coordination, insights, and strategies for pipeline and current products.Source account performance and utilization data, contract performance data, and portal data to build performance updates, business reviews, dashboards, and scorecards.Serve as an external stakeholder liaison for GPO/PBM data portal teams alongside National and Enterprise accounts. Support the Head of Market Access with budget planning, allocation, tracking, and submissions.Assist with Congress Meeting planning, schedules, objectives, impact tracking, and summaries.Lead Market Access Field Incentives planning and oversight, including Pinnacle and MBOs. Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in science or business (Master’s degree preferred).10 years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.Proven excellence in at least two of the following areas:National Account ManagementRegional Account ManagementPayer Value StrategyMarket Access LeadershipPricing and ContractingI2I (Innovation to Implementation)FinanceBrand MarketingBiopharma ConsultingIn-depth understanding of US pharmaceutical regulatory and marketing regulations, as well as compliance guidelines.
This positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is 197,600 to 315,00 per year. The actual salary offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
