Head of Marketing Innovation and Content - C16 - NEW YORK
The Head of Marketing Innovation and Content will lead the development of cutting-edge marketing strategies, focusing on the integration of innovative technologies and content creation that drives brand engagement, customer acquisition, and loyalty. This role is responsible for identifying emerging trends in marketing, technology, data, and content marketing, to enable the marketing organization to optimize the client experience and accelerate commercial outcomes. **Key Responsibilities** + Strategic Planning & Execution - Develop and execute a forward-thinking marketing innovation strategy that embraces new marketing technologies and platforms to enhance customer engagement and brand loyalty. Stay ahead of industry trends to identify and integrate new marketing technologies. + Marketing Technology and Data – develop a scale marketing technology and data infrastructure that ensures all business marketing teams have access to, and know how to use, marketing technology and data to deliver a highly personalized, automated, and seamless client experience that drives acquisition, deepens relationships and enhances client loyalty. + Content Marketing Leadership - Lead the development and execution of a global content marketing strategy that aligns with Citi’s business and brand objectives. Support the marketing and content organization in the creation and production of high-quality, engaging content that is tailored to target client audiences across businesses, geographies and channels. + Customer-Centric Experiences - in partnership with business marketing support the design of innovative, data-driven customer journeys that utilize content and technology to create personalized, impactful experiences across channels. Leverage customer insights and analytics to inform content creation and innovation strategies, ensuring all initiatives are data-driven and measurable. Collaborate with product and UX teams to integrate seamless customer experiences within digital platforms and campaigns. + In-House Agency Development – oversee the build of an in-house agency that can support the marketing and content organization and partner functions with the development of strategic, creative and impactful marketing content and campaigns that support Citi’s commercial and brand objectives. + Performance Management – define clear strategies, sets specific goals and KPIs and monitor performance to evaluate the impact of marketing innovation and content on commercial outcomes. Provide regular performance reports to the Chief Marketing & Content Officer and key senior stakeholders highlighting achievements and areas for improvement. + Team Leadership & Development – establish, lead, and develop a high performing team of marketing innovators, and content creators fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration and accountability. + Stakeholder Engagement – collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to build strong working relationships and facilitate successful project outcomes. Establish and maintain relationships with external partners including technology partners, data partners, consultants, and agencies. + Budgeting & Financial Management - develop and manage the Marketing Innovation and Content budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, and monitoring of expenses to achieve financial targets. + Change Management – act as an evangelist for the marketing and content organization’s change agenda and motivate change by inspiring the marketing team and partners across the organization with breakthrough business and marketing thought leadership. + Operational Excellence - drive continuous improvement across all aspects of wealth marketing ensuring the highest levels of effectiveness and efficiency. **Qualifications** + 15years of relevant experience in marketing, digital strategy, and marketing innovation in a global organization + Management experience in financial services + Proven expertise in developing marketing innovation strategies and building marketing technology and data infrastructures + Strong understanding of content marketing and storytelling across multiple platforms + Familiarity with emerging technologies and their application in marketing, such as GenAI, personalization, AR/VR, and data analytics. + Demonstrated ability to manage a team, complex projects and processes + Proven ability to work in high pressure environments + Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication + Consistently develop and maintain effective work relationships **Education** + Bachelors degree/university degree or equivalent + Masters degree preferred ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family Group:** Marketing ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family:** Marketing Generalist ------------------------------------------------------ **Time Type:** Full time ------------------------------------------------------ **Primary Location:** New York New York United States ------------------------------------------------------ **Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:** $250,000.00 - $500,000.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
