We are looking for a Head of Medical Affairs (m/f/d) for Rare/Neurology to lead our Medical Rare and Epilepsy Team in Germany remotely and this is a role with the opportunity to make a significant impact.

 

About the role

You ensure that your team acts according to the the UCB code of conduct and innovative pharmaceutical industry guidelines. You are also responsible for providing the best leadership with outcomes focus  to your team to perform at the highest level, including coaching, training, reporting, CRM, etc.

Who you´ll work with

You are responsible for the Medical Affairs Strategy by leading the Medical Rare & Epilepsy Team. The role incumbent provides medical expertise to the Cross-functional Rare & Epilepsy Team including clinical and scientific guidance. The role incumbent is directly responsible for Medical Strategy Leads, Field Medical Leads and Field Medical Advisors.

What you´ll do

Leadership, coaching and mentorship of the direct and indirect medical leads for the respective TA. Motivating, agile, inclusive and cross-functional leadership styleBe responsible for the assigned annual operating expensesOverall responsibility for the development, prioritization, and delivery of the Medical Affairs Plans (MAP) that address identified gaps and in alignment with asset plansCollaboration with R&D team and Access to support the country portfolio of Phase II-III trials, local clinical trials evaluations including RWE, collaborations and partnerships and investigator-initiated studiesEnsure appropriate focus, timely preparation, review, and submission of publications at scientific congressesEnsure adherence by the team to regulatory and compliance policies and procedure within the therapeutic area and Medical Affairs

 

 

 

 

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills:

 

University degree in medical, pharmacy or natural sciences5 years of leadership experience (senior roles) in medical affairs, ideally in rare and/or neurological diseasesExperience of leading teams and driving change with cross functional and matrix teamsProven track record of partnering with marketing, sales, access, patient engagement towards cross-functional plans and delivery on objectivesFluency in English and German
