Position Summary

Illinois, Chicago, USA (Remote)

Thales is looking for a Head of Paid Media who knows how to use digital media acquisition channels to accelerate and sustain business growth. As a player-coach, you’ll set the pace and implement best practices for building pipeline while driving new customer acquisition and retention.

As the ideal candidate, you have a strategic mindset and uses data and insights to articulate channel strategy and plans to cross-functional teams.

You will lead the strategy and execution of focused paid marketing channels – Paid Search, Paid Social, Display, Content Syndication -- and oversee the creative testing strategy to drive performance across all channels. You’re comfortable analyzing performance data, setting high-level strategy across paid marketing levers, and have a track record for building exceptional relationships.

You lead with empathy and have experience managing and developing experienced team members. They will be responsible for driving cross-team execution, collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders, and owning paid media for one product line. We’re looking for a passionate marketer, thinker, and doer.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Lead digital strategy and planning for the portfolio across various paid search, display, and digital advertising to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and customer acquisition for both Enterprise and Mid-Market segments; Responsible for leading paid media for one product line (strategy to outcomes, including KPIs, ROI, etc).

Drive new customer acquisition and upsell campaigns, optimizing across all stages of the user journey by delivering predictable, reliable ROI from marketing investment to drive growth.

Own and manage the paid media budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across channels. Monitor performance and continuously optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.

Implement tracking and measurement systems to evaluate the effectiveness of paid media campaigns, providing regular reporting and insights to senior leadership on KPIs and campaign outcomes, including conversion to pipeline.

Stay current on industry trends, platforms, and new technologies to stay abreast of changes to ensure paid media campaigns are using the latest best practices and innovations in paid media.

Identify growth opportunities and drive channel optimization, building a culture of innovation and hypothesis-driven experimentation.

Collaborate with marketing managers to plan, coordinate, execute, and report on the regional media strategy for marketing campaigns and activations.

Build and deliver bottom-up growth forecasts by channel, partnering with the Head of WW Revenue Marketing, Product Marketing Leads, Field Marketing, and the Sales team to refine scenarios based on company revenue targets.

Minimum Qualifications

BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience.

10 years’ experience in paid media campaigns with at least 5 years’ experience in-house at a cybersecurity company.

Strong background in paid search, paid social, and display advertising with a focus on lead generation and customer acquisition for both Enterprise and Mid-market.

Skilled at analyzing campaign data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to optimize performance and drive business results

Proficiency with analytics tools, and the ability to communicate complex performance data and marketing strategies effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.

Extensive experience planning and executing global, regional, and localized campaigns at scale; proven experience applying audience insights, segmentation, persona targeting, and integrating propensity models.

Experience leading the end-to-end performance outcomes against the dollars spent – from lead creation to pipeline for greater ROI.

Track record of cultivating and retaining talent; ensure career growth trajectories for the team, with outstanding interpersonal skills, relationship builder.

Experience with running integrated, multi funnel, digital advertising campaigns, and strong experience developing operational workflows and reports.
