We are seeking a dynamic Head of Process Engineering & Industrial Architecture to grow our process engineering and industrial architecture capability. This key role will serve as the liaison between business lines and engineering teams, process engineering, industrial infrastructure maintenance, and industrial architecture. You will be responsible for ensuring functional performance at the country level, as well supporting business units in designing and delivering industrial solutions. You will bring your significant industrial experience to ensure supply chains and industrial processes are competitive and effective for our customers.
Located in Rydalmere, on Darug land, your role purpose will be –
Ensure industrial requirements are integrated into product policy and measured throughout the product lifecycle, aiming for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Define target costs for future products and ensure adherence to production, maintenance, and repair cost objectives.
Oversee industrialisation work packages, ensuring readiness levels during product development.
Develop industrial skills for short, medium, and long-term performance
Collaborate with purchasing to select, qualify, and monitor suppliers, ensuring industrialisation success
Oversee prototype, pre-production, and production phases, ensuring effective launch at appropriate sites
Define the industrial plan for products, including facilities, tools, and test equipment to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals
Lead efforts to harmonise best practices, implement continuous improvement, and reduce the carbon footprint of processes and products
Ensure safety, monitor compliance with industrial standards, and lead efforts to manage obsolescence and CAPEX planning
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Master’s degree in Process Engineering or equivalent, with extensive experience in Industrial Operations, ideally in manufacturing, maintenance, and repairs.
Proven track record in product and supply chain development with significant experience in new product introduction.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on team empowerment, long-term commitment, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
In-depth knowledge of industrial processes (manufacturing, repair, third-party management, installation) and industrial IT (Digital 4.0, automation, dashboards, etc.)
Experienced in Lean management tools (e.g., PDCA, Gemba Walks), continuous improvement, and problem-solving techniques
Strong interpersonal skills to mobilise resources, build professional networks, and promote transparency and collaboration
Eligibility for Australian Defence Clearance is required
