The Head of Product Management – Mining Trucks is responsible for: Managing and coordinating the product management team in the research, definition and administration of market demands for strategic evolution of existing products and development of innovative future MIN OHT Product Line solutions.
Responsibilities Manage, mentor and sustain the OHT Product Management team to achieve defined business outcomes. Manage and prioritise the teams research and definition of required changes in technology and processes as observed in tenders, regional legislation / regulations, standards & norms, guidelines, competitor offerings, new technologies and general market trends. Manage and coordinate the planning and mapping of product dependencies and integration requirements to ensure consistent and complimentary formulation of product requirement documents for application across multiple machine and technology products. Manage future product roadmap and product range requirements based on voice of the customer, regulatory requirements, and market analysis. Management and execution of Project Charters / Projects to achieve assigned MIN Strategic Objectives. Develop, implement and maintain business processes for the effective management of the Technology Product Management Function. Develop and sustain intercompany / cross functional awareness and support for the OHT Product Management function. Define, execute and maintain currency of the MIN Strategic Objectives for OHT Products. Manage the development and collaboration of cross-functional transversal teams. Competencies Preferred Education: Bachelor’s and / or Post Graduate Degree in Business Management; Bachelor/Degree qualifications in; Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or International Project Management 10 Years’ experience in OEM or related industry in a senior management role. Good command of German and French languages. Sound commercial acumen with proven Sales and / or Project Management Experience. Sound Technical knowledge and understanding of Mining Trucks and Mining Technologies. Experience and knowledge of Liebherr Mining products will be highly regarded. Literacy and numeracy. Customer service skills. Analytical skills. Intermediate computer skills. Process/enter data into relevant IT systems. Identify and report new business opportunities. Managing difficult customers.
