Head of Sales

**Primary Job Function:**
Oversees overall business set-up and activities of EPD Sales in the Ethical Channel (Private Hospitals, Government Hospitals, GP clincis), develop business plans and sales strategies that ensures attainment of company’s sales and profitablity goals.
Analyse and use available data to identify opportunities, issues and trends, and create and execute effective business strategies and tactics to fuel growth and to exceed market growth.
**Core Job Responsibilities:**
+ Proactively direct the activities of the sales team for the achievement of short- and long-term business objectives, increase profit and market share.
+ Establish and articulate a clear vision for the sales force and establish EPD five-year strategic direction to ensure a strong future orientation for the division, further develop the business to reach its potential and improve future profitability.
+ Focus on sales contribution in order to achieve brand tactical objectives and sales effectiveness, through the monitoring of key sales metrics
+ Translate and spearhead sales strategies into day to day working sales and promotional strategies and driving this through National/Regional Sales Managers nationwide.
+ Strategically maximize sales force effectiveness to ensure that those strategies are well implemented and executed with feedback/inputs from market are communicated and documented for sales management to tackle with those issues.
+ Closely monitor actual sales vs. forecast and conduct root cause analysis if there are any deviations to ensure that sales strategies and activities fit with the plan. Ensure those KPI related to sales are in-line with assigned target.
+ Build and maintain great relationship with key customers; industry associations; government representatives; including key opinion leaders to achieve sales objectives.
+ Manage expense budgets within plan by allocating resources appropriately and regularly monitoring performance.
+ Help validate brand strategies with the marketing team and maximize market access and contribution for the whole lifecycle for all divisional brands.
+ Help create a performance-based culture and build long-term organization capability by building and developing a high-performing team, through coaching and counseling.
+ Ensure best-in-class leadership of the sales team in recruitment, retention, development plans, succession planning and capability building
+ Ensure the maintenance of both company and external standards in Compliance Standards, Ethical Behavior, Safety, Health and Environment and Fiscal Controls.
+ Actively seek, identify, analyze, and present new business opportunities and improvement ideas to General Manager on an ongoing basis.
+ Oversees the development of policies, procedures and objectives for marketing and selling EPD 's products.
+ Collaborates with key internal and external stakeholders such as Marketing, Finance, Market Access, Commercial Excellence, Trade, Key Opinion Leaders and Business Partners
**Minimum Education:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Science or relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. MBA holder will be added advantage
**Minimum Experience/Training Required:**
+ Minimum 10+ years of relevant commercial experience with at least 5 years at management level.
+ Prior experience in Pharma or healthcare industries preferred.
+ Proven people management experience, preferably with building, leading, coaching, and motivating a sales team.
+ Effective communication, interpersonal skills and cross functional skills.
+ Has good business acumen.
+ Strong analytical and influencing skills.
