This opportunity will remain online based on business needs which may be before or after the specified date._ The Southwest Region Sales team is a key contributor to our customer growth and market expansion. We collaborate closely with various sectors in the residential and commercial space, including: multifamily, small and medium business, residential direct sales, and retail. Through these channels, we drive penetration and growth across diverse markets. **Role Description** As the Head of Sales, Texas, you will be responsible for building, leading, and scaling sales efforts across multiple customer segments, including single family homes, multi-dwelling units, retail and small to medium businesses. This role requires deep market knowledge, strong leadership in field sales, and a strategic focus on market penetration and growth. You will report to the regional General Manager and work cross-functionally with Customer Operations (CE), Marketing, and Business Development teams to ensure successful sales execution, market growth, and retention strategies. **In this role, you'll:** Know Your Market: + Understand competition and where the business will be successful and anticipate challenges. + Identify and influence the direction of the Fiber build machine. + Lead market expansion efforts by prioritizing new city jurisdictions that align with our business goals. + Leverage customer metrics to refine sales and outreach strategies. + Ensure strong community engagement by working with local organizations like the BBB, Chambers of Commerce, Land Developers, and Builders to expand outreach efforts. Lead the Sales Team: + Own and achieve market operations plan targets for field sales channels. + Coach and develop the next level of management to drive long-term sales success. + Be responsible for all field sales channel performance, manage staffing needs, including the identification, hiring, and retention of top sales talent. + Maintain a healthy sales inventory to support customer acquisition targets. Drive Market Growth + Collaborate with Customer Operations to align field sales efforts with digital, direct mail, and call center strategy. + Oversee and execute market penetration growth plans (near-term & long-term strategies). + Serve as the primary POC for competitive intelligence, relaying market insights from the field to central teams. + Surface and refine key sales messages to maximize effectiveness in the field. + Monitor and enhance the signup-to-connect funnel, escalating potential roadblocks to GM and central teams **At a minimum we'd like you to have:** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. + 8 years of leadership experience in sales, with a proven track recording in residential and commercial field sales - with a particular emphasis on D2D (door-to-door) direct sales and MxU (multi-tenant unit) inventory acquisition. + Experience in managing a customer portfolio of +100k customers and the respective sales operations dedicated to those customers + Experience leveraging market intelligence, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. + Experience working with internal and external cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, field maintenance) and stakeholders to execute strategies that deliver business growth and results. + Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time. **It's preferred if you have:** + Master Business Administration degree or equivalent practical work experience. + 10 years of progressive leadership experience, including executive-level sales leadership + Deep industry experience in FTTx sales, telecom or internet service providers (ISP) + Experience presenting data-driven insights and providing strategic recommendations to leadership. + Experience in partnerships with builders, developers, and local organizations to drive market growth. + Experience in creating high-impact sales messaging that resonates with field teams. The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $185,000 - $273,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits.
