Head of Security, Market Area North America

We are seeking a Head of Security for Market Area North America (MANA) who will manage all aspects of security operations across the United States and Canada. This leader will ensure the implementation and effectiveness of the cybersecurity and physical security programs aligned with Ericsson Group level objectives, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, HR, and Legal, the Head of Security addresses regional risks, establishes security policies specific to the region, and responds to emerging threats to protect people and assets.
 

This position is located in Plano, Texas and reports to the Market Area North America CFO.
 

You will: Lead a team of approximately 20 security professionals, as well as a larger, extended team of security practitioners across the region’s organization to continuously improve security strategies and mitigate risks.Be responsible for overseeing and implementing all aspects of physical security across multiple sites in the US and Canada.  Ensure the safety and protection of company assets, employees, visitors and facilities. Oversee all aspects of cybersecurity and data security within our organization, ensuring that our data, digital infrastructure, and online operations remain secure from all threats.Collaborate with the global security organization to preserve enterprise security, create policies, and implement technologies, to protect Ericsson’s infrastructure and sensitive informationKeep informed of the latest physical and cybersecurity technology to continue to improve existing systems and programs.Lead, guide, and instruct personnel with investigations.Coordinate responses to security incidents, ensuring prompt action to limit exposure and Coordinate crisis management efforts across the regionAct as the primary interface with law enforcement and security-focused government agencies (e.g., FBI, CISA, RCMP, etc.).Ensure that security risks are represented and considered in the overall Enterprise Risk Management process, employing best practices.To be successful in the role you must have: A bachelor’s degree in security management, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.10+ years of experience in security management, with at least 5 years in a senior security leadership role.Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity and physical security principles, risk assessment, and crisis management.Extensive knowledge of Security related standards and regulations, including ISO/IEC 27001, 22301, Data Privacy Legislations, SOX, 3GPP/NESAS, NIST 800-53.Proven experience in developing and implementing security strategies across complex, multi-site organizations.Investigations experience.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, and the ability to lead across organizations without a direct reporting line.Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex security issues in clear, business-focused terms.Security and Risk Management trainings and certifications (CISSP, CISM or others) or equivalent experience preferred.Litigation support experience is preferred.
