Nestled in the Sierra foothills of California, Mt Lassen Treatment Center located on the Sierra Ridge Campus is a licensed Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program that offers individual, group, and family therapy, as well as evidence-based skill and rehabilitation groups. Mt Lassen Treatment Center embraces a strengths-based approach within a least restrictive program model and normalized high school environment. Here youth become part of a cohesive, supportive, dynamic community of peers and highly qualified staff. Through Rite of Passage’s Integrated Care Model, Mt Lassen Treatment Center provides a trauma-responsive program that is individualized for each youth.
Pay: Starting at $90, 000 per year or DOE.

What you will do: As Head of Service, you will direct the work of a multidisciplinary treatment team assigned to STRTP mental health program ~ Monitors clients and consults with Medical Department and staff regarding mental health diagnosis, medication referrals, and receiving psychotropic medications ~ Assists in evaluating program needs and developing an effective and compliant program ~ Participates in developing procedure and instructional manuals and materials to assist in compliance of program goals ~ Acts as liaison, meets and confers with individuals, administrators, physicians and community partners to explain program and services and gain cooperation in achieving program goals ~ Attends meetings and participates with ROP staff, placing agencies, social workers, probation officers, behavioral health staff and parents/guardians on methods to effectively work with the youth in the program.
To be considered you should: Be empathetic, patient, consistent, compassionate, an honest work ethic, and treat others with respect ~ Have a desire to work with troubled teens ~ Must have possess a valid professional license as a Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Career Counselor and four years of professional work experience, at least two years of which is post masters in a related setting ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Schedule: 5 days per week:
Monday - Friday ~ 8-hour shift with 1-hour break.
