Job Description

The Head of Social Media and Influencer Marketing is a dynamic, strategic leader with a deep understanding of cultural moments, emerging trends, and platforms. This role is key to expanding Raising Cane’s influence across social media and influencer marketing and leads the social strategy across all Cane’s channels, ensuring cohesive messaging that drives growth and engagement. With a keen eye for platform and customer insights, this role identifies trends and opportunities to create timely, relevant, and shareable content that aligns with the Raising Cane’s brand.  

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

Social Media and Influencer Leadership

Leads a team and agency partners to drive social media follower growth and engagement through branded content, influencer marketing, trending topics, campaign tie-ins, and new restaurant openingsProvides expertise on content posting cadence and optimal timing for social media channelsReviews all influencer and talent partnerships to ensure brand alignment and addresses any potential risksOversees paid social strategy, managing timing, budget, optimization, and reporting for boosted posts to ensure effective resultsDevelops and manages the content calendar, balancing brand and influencer contentLeverages customer media habits and platform insights to identify opportunities for expanding Raising Cane’s reach and engagementInspires the team to generate breakthrough ideas that uniquely expand social follower reach while staying true to Raising Cane’s brand voice, tone, and core valuesDrives storytelling and maximizes social impact for brand activations and cross-platform integration to build audiences tailored to each channelDevelops large-scale social media campaigns that amplify the brand in relevant and engaging ways.Builds and nurtures relationships with influencers across celebrity, mega, macro, and micro levels, including NILCreates engaging, authentic influencer content and supports it with amplification and paid strategies to connect with new and existing customersDevelops programs and training for Restaurant Marketing to enhance local social and influencer efforts, capitalizing on local moments to drive engagement and growth

Team Leadership

Leads communication of all social media updates, including regular content calendar reviews with key leadershipDevelops the vision for social media channels and influencer management, guiding the team in content creation to ensure alignment with key objectivesInspires and challenges the team to excel in growth, engagement, and sentiment metricsLeads strategy and planning for influencer campaigns involving celebrity artists, actors, athletes, and othersCollaborates with cross-functional teams and leadership to develop materials, campaign plans, and communications for all social channels, addressing both customer and community needs

Measurements and Analysis

Provides monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on channel performance, identifying opportunities and optimizationsRegularly reports on industry trends, influencer updates, pop culture moments, and competitive social media performanceMonitors social media activity 24/7, ensuring visibility and communicating internally for awareness and potential actionsDevelops performance metrics for growth, impressions, engagement, and sentiment across organic and paid activities, with consistent reporting and content sharingDrives social media follower growth and engagement to meet or exceed industry-leading metrics.Conducts ongoing sentiment analysis and keeps leadership informed of potential risksQualifications7+ years of experience leading brand campaign development, including planning, innovation, and creative ideationProven track record in influencer marketing strategy, content creation, partnership development, and execution with measurable resultsSignificant leadership experience in social media and influencer marketing, with team management preferably in the restaurant, retail, or packaged goods industriesCreative and agile thinker with expert knowledge of core marketing concepts and competenciesAbility to thrive in in ambiguous situations, set clear goals, and convert plans into actionActs as a role model, consistently lives and represents Cane’s valuesFocused on both short-term and long-term business impactDemonstrated ability to influence, lead, and motivate othersDetail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changingSelf-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong written and verbal communication skillsAble to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaborativelyAble to travel 25% of the time Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or related field requiredAdditional Information
