Head of Strategic Execution, Wealth Platform

State Street Wealth Services seeks to enable wealth advisors and their investment managers to achieve better outcomes for their clients and themselves, thereby enabling revenue growth across all areas of State Street. It includes two operating businesses, Wealth Platforms (comprising software, software services and investment advisory) and Wealth Custody (including banking, trading, lending and deposits revenue streams). The Wealth Platforms business is seeking a Head of Strategic Execution (Managing Director) to provide strategic leadership to expand State Street’s footprint as a leading provider of Wealth Platforms and Investment Advisory capabilities. This leader will work directly with the Head of CRD Wealth / Advisor Platforms to drive strategy definition, strategic execution, and business development efforts to drive growth for State Street Wealth Service’s Wealth Platforms business.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead strategy definition around growth potential, target segments, required products, coverage and business models for Wealth PlatformsTake ownership of strategic initiatives required for business success (e.g., governing delivery of strategic investments)Drive maturity of business processes in the Platforms business (e.g., creating business intelligence in collaboration with finance and functions like sales, client management, professional services, product, engineering, SaaS Ops and Finance)Collaborate with other business units in Wealth Services and broadly at State Street on joint initiativesCollaborate with a cross-functional team to execute on strategic priorities  Plan and execute business development initiatives in close collaboration with senior management and cross-functional teamsFacilitating annual strategic planning for CRD Wealth / Advisor platform including overseeing budget planning and resource allocation for strategic prioritiesDevelop the wealth partnership ecosystem including identifying partnership opportunities, structuring transactions with key partners, evaluating key contractual arrangements, and driving ongoing relationship management with key ecosystem partners Maintaining awareness of the wealth management market and industry trends relevant to CRD, advisor platforms and our client baseManage relationships with internal and external stakeholders across functions to ensure alignment and successful execution of key initiativesDrive business execution through developing OKRs, contributing to QBRs / investor relations, and using wealth leadership forums to drive transparency and alignment 

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in strategy and / or business development experience preferred, particularly with exposure to wealth software, software services or advisory businesses; experience in software-led managed accounts / personalization a plusAbility to take ownership to drive execution outcomes for business across functionsProven track record of commercializing strategic partnershipsStrong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate and drive consensus across teams and influence stakeholders at all levelsExecutive presence and strong business communication skillsStrong critical thinking, problem solving, structuring and decision making skillsStrong work-ethic with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines and willingness to jump into challenging situations or problems and drive to solutionsAbility to juggle multiple priorities at once, including quick turn-around high priority items

Salary Range:

$170,000 - $267,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
