Job Description

The Head of Treasury Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Verisk’s Global Treasury operations, including cash management, liquidity forecasting, banking relationships, working capital optimization and risk management. Working in collaboration with our Accounting team and in conjunction with our Financial Shared Services Center, the Head of Treasury Operations will drive operational efficiencies, process improvements and implement best practices to support the company’s strategic financial goals. Such responsibilities will include the planning and execution of day-to-day and period-end Treasury activities including managing the company’s global cash positions, funding and liquidity, execution of our capital market transactions including bond issuance, share repurchase activities and credit facility management while maintaining compliance with company, department and audit standards.

Responsible for cash management, liquidity management, foreign exchange, risk management and regulatory complianceOversight of day-to-day cash management processes and improvementsOversee cash management functions globally including daily cash positions, wire transfer, account transfer, and bank account administrationOversee and approve electronic disbursementsAssist in the management and execution of our share repurchase programs and other capital  markets activitiesAssist in the development and maintenance of Treasury policies, procedures and controlsLead the Treasury month-end close process including the review and accurate posting/recording of weekly cash activity to the General LedgerEnsure compliance with applicable policies and regulatory requirementsOversee the monthly reconciliation of all company bank accountsReview and approval of ACH and wire paymentsPrepare, review and maintain SOX compliance within the department; ensure proper controls exist over cash receipts, disbursements and general Treasury activitiesPerform periodic cost review of bank feesOversee daily cash forecast and global cash position reportingIdentify opportunities for and support global cash movements including documentation of intercompany loansMaintain strong bank relationships while managing global banking structureLeverage existing banking relationships to open, manage and maintain domestic and foreign bank accountsMonitor and oversee existing bank account services and signatories including bank account administration for opening, migrating and closing accountsMonitor FX exposures and develop recommendations to create natural currency hedgesEffectively work with and support internal business partners including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Legal, Tax/ Legal teams and ITManage team of treasury analysts and execution team in international markets by developing objectives and development plan in line with global strategy

QualificationsBachelor’s Degree Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business-related field10+ years’ experience with deep expertise within the finance and treasury function of a global corporation or bankAdvanced knowledge of treasury best practices including systems, GAAP accounting rules, and all regulationStrong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple processes in a fast-paced environmentStrong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage internal cross-functional teams including Accounting, Tax, APWorking knowledge of Oracle Cloud and Kyriba softwareExcellent communication and relationship-building skills
