Overview  

At Siemens Digital Industries (DI), we are driving a transformation in how products are designed, manufactured, and optimized—evolving from automated production to adaptive, and ultimately, autonomous production. The Head of Vertical Markets for DI is pivotal in shaping that future, empowering U.S. customers to rethink their products and production strategies for greater agility, efficiency, and innovation.  

The Head of Vertical Markets for Digital Industries is responsible for the development and implementation of the DI US Vertical Market Strategies leading to the achievement of profit, growth, customer and employee satisfaction goals. This role requires an adaptive leadership style as you engage with your team and stakeholders, creating a culture of trust and belonging by making people development, collaboration and diversity an absolute priority.  

The preferred location for this role is Michigan, but this role could also be remote. 

You will make an impact by:  

Understanding and developing customers’ value chain by directing marketing and research effort, leading strategy development and coordinating at the strategic and tactical levels with businesses and other functions of the organization.  Designing, developing, implementing and monitoring organizational strategic plans that drive growth in revenue, market share and profit margins in assigned vertical markets.  Providing thought leadership and focusing on end-users in specific industries, including growth verticals like semiconductor, energy, chemical, data center and others.  Managing ongoing analysis of vertical market; identifying relevant threats and opportunities; recommending and implementing changes to strategy, positioning, long-term development of portfolio to meet customers’ needs.  Maintaining a continual pulse of the industry to understand the competitive environment, anticipating market trends and demands and developing business proposals for product / portfolio critical initiatives.  Driving assessment of growth opportunities, coordinating a range of internal stakeholders to screen potential opportunities.  Working in conjunction with Global Business Lines to rollout, support and achieve planned order intake, revenue and profit for the applicable portfolios  Developing relationships with customers and regional/country sales, execution and marketing organizations to clearly understand customer needs and translating those needs into actionable requirements.  Directing and conceptualizing the development of marketing programs, channel and pricing  Collaborating with business unit leaders and function heads to align overall strategy, policy and direction  Working closely with go-to-markets teams to ensure strategies are driven through the organization and financial monitoring systems are in place to track performance against core key performance indicators like OI, revenue and profit.  Representing Siemens and networking with executive and client leadership at industry associations, professional or community organizations for potential counterparties, advisors, industry resources, associations etc. to enhance business image and success. 

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications  

Basic Qualifications  

10+ years of sales leadership experience which includes leading large sales teams. 5+ years of demonstrated selling experience in relevant Information Technology/Operational Technology markets.  Willingness and ability to travel 20%- 40% both domestic and international (as allowable)  Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications  

Demonstrated ability to get results in a complex and difficult customer environment.  Proven ability of identifying vertical market opportunities and commercializing solutions  Executive leadership, negotiating and influencing skills as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple functions within the organization and with external contacts.  Confidence in decision-making and determining objectives and approaches to critical topics  Track record of problem solving and using data & analytics to develop robust business strategies.  Advanced knowledge of marketing concepts and strategy development; strong track record of identifying market opportunities and implementing robust marketing strategies that drive tangible results  A growth mindset, thirst for learning and passion for developing and coaching your team

The pay range for this position is $167,860-$287,760 with an annual target incentive. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
