We are currently seeking an experienced professional for the role ofHead of Wholesale Credit Lending, Malaysia

Role Purpose

The Head of Wholesale Credit Lending, Malaysia will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of Credit Lending servicing journeys, including the integration of transformation and digitization initiatives, and ensuring risk and control management across the end-to-end controls. The role holder will need to manage multiple senior stakeholders with varied and sometimes conflicting agendas, while driving alignment to a consistent global Credit Lending operating model. The remit will cover the existing Credit Analysis Unit (CAU) teams, including the roll out of full CAU coverage (particularly for CMB) in the early stages, and activities in Malaysia along with additional Credit Lending activities to bring these into a single integrated WCL team supporting the Commercial Banking (CMB) and Global Banking (GB) lines of business.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the delivery of the end-to-end Credit Lending servicing journey, ensuring a seamless and efficient process for customers.Integrate digitization and customer experience improvement initiatives, including alignment to a globally consistent Credit Lending operating model.Monitor and analyse customer and stakeholder feedback, identifying key areas of focus to significantly improve customer outcomes.Align with global strategy and direction through collaboration with global stakeholders including technology, DBS, WCR, global business Coverage teams, digital channels, and product teams to deliver the overall strategy and direction for the wholesale credit and lending journey in Malaysia.Establish and lead governance frameworks to ensure risks and issues related to the Credit Lending journey are escalated to country, regional, and global stakeholders and resolved in a satisfactory manner. Oversee the management of financial and non-financial risks pertaining to the WCL production in partnership with NFR/Business Risk.Act as the Business Service Owner for Credit Lending across CMB GB, ensuring service resilience. Ensure risk and control management across the end-to-end controls, meeting all SOX obligations.Own the OKR, KPI and SLA management framework, maintaining service management oversight pertaining to both operational and control performance across all WCL CTB RTB services end-to-end.Manage multiple senior stakeholders with varied and sometimes conflicting agendas, effectively navigating complex situations and driving alignment.Provide leadership and direction to Credit Lending teams, fostering a sense of unity and purpose.Strategically build out the Credit Lending model to be globally leading across the bank, leveraging organizational design capabilities to optimize processes and structures.Develop and maintain a diverse, innovation-driven credit and lending workforce, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction.

Provide leadership and direction to Credit Lending teams, fostering a sense of unity and purpose.Strategically build out the Credit Lending model to be globally leading across the bank, leveraging organizational design capabilities to optimize processes and structures.Develop and maintain a diverse, innovation-driven credit and lending workforce, ensuring high levels of engagement and satisfaction.Proven track record of leading and managing teams, with experience in organizational design and strategic planning.Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and drive alignment among senior leaders.Expertise in credit risk management, control assessment, and SOX compliance.Experience in driving digitization and customer experience improvement initiatives.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to consume large volumes of customer feedback and distil key areas of focus.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
