As a Head Start Assistant Site Supervisor, you will provide administrative and customer-focused tasks to help manage an early childhood education sites serving children ages 6 months to 5 years. ACAP is hiring a full-time Head Start Assistant Site Supervisor to help manage an Early Childhood Education site in the City of Albany, New York. Position starts at $24.74 per hour; Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week Qualifications A bachelor’s or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or an advanced degree with equivalent coursework in Early Childhood Education with at least two years of experience in early childhood education, teaching, or daycare/childcare is required. An associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field and four years of experience in early childhood education or a related setting may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. Familiarity with New York State OCFS regulations and Head Start performance standards is highly desired. Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus, and a valid driver’s license may be required. Responsibilities: + Assist teaching staff with planned activities, family support, data collection, and record-keeping. + Assist in staff supervision and professional development to maintain quality services for families. + Oversee compliance with program performance standards and regulations, including reporting systems and databases. + Act as a liaison between ACAP families and community organizations. + Coordinate community resources and other activities for the benefit of families and staff. + Help create a stable and nurturing program for children and families.
