The Regional Training and Technical Assistance Coordinator (RTTAC) has a strong training and technical assistance, supervisor, and project management background to support our Head Start Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) team in Region IV. The RTTAC works with the Regional Office (RO) on short, intermediate and long term professional development, training, and technical assistance planning that addresses Office of Head Start (OHS) and RO priorities and initiatives. The RTTAC works closely with the COR to ensure the provision of high quality training and technical assistance that complies with all OHS requirements. Work Location: Atlanta.
Responsibilities/Duties:
Supports the RO in developing short, intermediate, and long-term TTA that addresses OHS priorities and initiatives. Manages and coordinates regional TTA services that ensure high quality, responsive, and coordinated TTA services and contract deliverables, as well as timely communication and resolution of quality concerns and issues. Develops and implements quality assurance processes with TA Management Team. Provides ongoing supervision of the Regional EC Manager(s) (RECM), GS Manager(s) (GS), Systems Specialist(s) (SS), Health Specialist(s) (HS), Family Engagement Specialist (FES) and Administrative Assistant (AA), unless otherwise determined by region. Implements and oversees a system of ongoing supervision and coaching for all TTA staff that supports ongoing professional development and performance improvement. Engages TA Management Team in the overall leadership of the regional TA team, including the development of region-specific procedures and practices, communication protocols, and implementation of TA services. Ensures the completion of at least two formal observations of the HS, FES, and SS in each performance period to assess quality of TTA provided and determine professional development needs. Leads a strategic planning team for the region to address HS/EHS recipient needs, identify gaps and develop strategies to ensure compliance and quality improvement. Provides on-going reporting of comprehensive data analysis linking regional and state TTA to OHS and RO priorities and HS/EHS recipient service delivery, including analysis of TTA activities, trends, regional needs and intensity/quality of TTA provision. Ensures the timely and accurate completion of OHS required reports, including but not limited to the Annual Regional Professional Development (PD) Plan, monthly and quarterly aggregated TTA plans, Monthly Travel Plans, and HS/EHS recipient-specific TTA plans and activity reports. Implements data analysis and reporting processes that inform and improve the quality, responsiveness, and effectiveness of TTA services. Develops and provides training in topical areas to RO staff, programs, and state partners based on the PD Plan and at the direction of the RO. Participates in national and regional work groups and meetings as directed by OHS. Supports business development with STGI as needed. Participates in STGi leadership work groups and meetings as directed.
